Stickley Chair

Rough sawn red oak was planed and cut to the dimensions specified on the plans and doweled together. a 1/2” ply seat was covered with 2 layers of batting and upholstered with a soft, brown vinyl. The back splats were planed to 3/8”. Mortises and tenons were used to assemble the back.  It was the first part of the chair to be glued together. The chair was stained with Golden Oak and sealed with a polyurethane semigloss.
