Nightstand

The designer wanted two nightstands for this show to match in style, but because of the colors in the set walls, the tone of wood needed to be contrasted. The nightstand was made from rough hewn poplar planed and cut to the necessary dimensions.

The drawer was made functional although it was not used in this production.

The paint treatment was accomplished in 2 steps: first a two toned wet blend and then graining. The unit was sealed with a satin polycrylic sealer.
